HELLS GATE NATIONAL PARK
Hells Gate National Park borders Lake Naivasha and is known for its dramatic scenery! The uniqueness of this park is that you can cycle or walk completely unguided. With looming cliffs, gorges and basalt columns it is a great place to explore. One can find herds of buffalo, giraffe, eland, Thomson gazelle and even leopard which makes it very exciting. At the Eastern entrance of the gorge if Fischers tower which is a popular rock climbing spot.
MOUNT LONGONUT NATIONAL PARK
This National Park enjoys vistas of Lake Naivasha and its scenic landscape includes the extinct Mount Longonut. The crater of the mountain is covered in dense forest making for a stunning view. A diverse wildlife population also makes this place worth visiting.
CRATER LAKE GAME SANCTUARY
This sanctuary surrounds the beautiful volcanic crater lake. It has many hiking trails including one on the crater rim. A variety of birds can be spotted including giraffes, buffalo and other plains wildlife.
CRESCENT ISLAND GAME PARK
This sanctuary lies on the shores of Lake Naivasha and has a high density of wildlife! It is a peninsula and can be accessed by a boat or the main road.
